Desire is a 15-minute study that explores two threads within Gustave Flaubert’s novel, Madame Bovary: Emma Bovary’s vibrant, starry-eyed imagination and the societal energies of the small-town she inhabits. The five dancers embody Emma’s dreams and the town’s collective dynamics.
